Aircon has become an essential appliance in Philippine homes. If you are planning to get one, it is best that you know the current price of installation. Check out the possible cost before you buy.
Price
The aircon installation service price starts from Php 5,000 to Php 8,000 and above for the labor alone. Note that the total cost will depend on different factors aside from the unit’s cost.
Split Type
For those who want a split type unit, the price of installation may start from Php 5,000 to Php 8,000 (labor excluding materials). It usually requires a bracket for the outdoor unit as well as a circuit breaker.
Window Type
For window type, price starts at around Php 1,800 to Php 3,500 for labor depending on the difficulty of installation. Preparing the wall may involve more work than simply setting up the unit.
Other Expenses
Some clients may need to pay more due to materials and labor costs. Here is an example of the prices depending on your needs during installation process.
- Circuit breaker – Php 700
- Scaffolding rental – Php 3,000 (if ladder is not available)
- Additional wiring – Php 1500 and above
- Bracket price – Php 800 to Php 1300 (some brands include metal brackets)
- Additional copper tube – Php 300 per foot
For the most part, only 10 feet of copper tubing is free of charge. In most cases, additional Php 300 per foot is paid to the installer.
Free Installation
Some appliance centers and brands may offer free installation services. This is a promo coming from the manufacturers. But the same limit for wires and tubing may be applied.
Major appliance centers like Abenson is now offering free installation of aircon units per brand. The promotions can save you up to Php 8,000 for the service. The following brands have this promotions when available.

Note that the free service is available only on selected models too. However, the first 10 feet of copper is usually free of charge.
Room Size
In order to make cooling more efficient and save you on electricity, it is best to buy an aircon with the right capacity per room size. Here is the suggested horse power based on the size of the room to be cooled.
0.5 HP room size – 6 to 11 square meters
0.75 HP room size – 12 to 17 square meters
1.0 HP room size – 18 to 22 square meters
1.5 HP room size – 23 to 27 square meters
2.0 HP room size – 28 to 40 square meters
2.5 HP room size – 41 to 54 square meters

Dismantling Service
The dismantling cost starts from Php 3,000 and above depending on the difficulty of the process. Note that you may have the old unit replaced by a new one in the same spot as before. Transferring the aircon to a new location also involves dismantle service charge and sometimes a delivery fee.
