In Metro Manila, the average room rental price starts from Php 4,000. Do not fix your budget on this price because it is just the usual rate. Here are the common prices:

I once experienced renting an apartment unit with a small bedroom. The total area was 25 sqm and the monthly rate was Php 6,000. It was a good offer.
The only thing that I didn’t like is taking up the stairs on a daily basis just to get into the room unit. Consider this factor too if you have problems with accessibility.
For example, a family with senior citizen or disability should not choose room for rents that include a second floor.
How to Choose a Room Rental
Consider access to transportation. Whether you are a commuter or who owns a vehicle.

- Ideally, do not pay for more than 3 months advance
