Installation Fees:

• Split type Inverter – Php 5,000 to Php 8,000
• Window type Inverter – Php 2,300 to Php 3,000
• Window Type Non-Inverter – Php 1,800 to Php 2,000

Expenses List

In our experience, there are at least 6 categories of expenses before one can fully enjoy a new aircon.

1. Aircon Unit

Aircon units in malls and appliance centers range from Php 8,000 to Php 65,000 depending on whether you will get a split type or window type unit.

2. Delivery Charge

The usual delivery charge for large appliances start from Php 600 and above.

3. Installation

We interviewed some first time aircon owners and most of them were unaware of the installation fee.

Aircon installation price ranges from Php 5,000 to Php 8,000 and above. This covers the labor alone since the total cost will depend on different factors aside from the unit’s cost.

What I personally like about the installation service is you can actually pay in Gcash or bank transfer. Since the installers are third party providers, it is possible to transact directly to them.

Price List of Cleaning

Each aircon type may have a specific price based on technology and features. You may request for an initial price quote depending on your aircon brand and type.

• Split Type Inverter: Php 1500
• Split Type Non-Inverter: Php 1050
• Window Type: Php 750
• Window Type Inverter: Php 850
• Cassette Aircon (ceiling mounted): Php 2000
• Centralized Aircon: Php 3500 and above

5. Dismantling Service

The dismantling cost starts from Php 3,000 and above depending on the difficulty of the process.

If you are to estimate the cost of having an aircon for the first time, the initial budget will be similar to this breakdown of the average rates:

• Units cost: Php 25,000
• Installation: Php 8,000
• Maintenance (cleaning) Php 1,200

Total Cost: Php 34,200

Major appliance centers like Abenson is now offering free installation of aircon units per brand. The promotions can save you up to Php 8,000 for the service. The following brands have this promotions when available.
